Loop route around the hills of Certaldo, with wine and local product tasting
We set off from Villa il Pozzo and walk through a landscape out of time and space, among vineyards and olive groves.
The hills of the typical Tuscan landscape will accompany us throughout the morning. In the distance the towers of San Gimignano, the red brick village of Certaldo, where the writer Giovanni Boccaccio lived and died, and the dome of the lost city of Semifonte. On the way back we will stop at the Pieve di San Lazzaro a Lucardo, one of the oldest and most important churches in the area. It is usually closed, but it will be open just for us! tasting of two wines and a platter of typical products and a visit to the Tenuta il Pozzo winery.
