We will set sail from Ellera and once we disembark, our guides, will drag you into an ancient history that speaks of bankers, merchant families and above all the famous Florentine wool cloths that were worked here from the 14th century onward. It is a unique example of a wool factory that has attracted wool lovers from all corners of Europe thanks to its forms that, even today, help us discover the work of the gualchierario and the peculiarities of wool production in the Middle Ages. During our walk we will also open the doors of the sculpture workshop of Piero Gensini, the last resident of the Gualchiere who, together with his wife, has been carrying on the battle to save this magical place for years.
