A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013, it offers visitors Italian-style gardens, romantic gardens, works by major 16th-century Florentine artists, 60 different tree species, hares, squirrels, pheasants and much more in a park waiting to be discovered.

Francesco I was undoubtedly the most introverted and eclectic representative of the Medici family, and it is to be expected that he would choose a place so far from the city to retire with his controversial second wife, Bianca Cappello.

He did not hesitate to surround himself with the most excellent Florentine craftsmen of the 16th century, bringing together artists such as Bernardo Buontalenti, Bartolomeo Ammannati, Valerio Cioli, Vincenzo Danti and Giambologna to work on the same ambitious project.

Crocus Trip offers sustainable tourism, which is why we have decided to reach the park by bus. The meeting point with the guide will be Piazza San Marco, where each participant will be given a/r bus tickets to reach Pratolino all together.

Participants are invited to bring a blanket or towel as, when possible, we will sit and enjoy the nature and silence that the park offers.

And as everyone knows, after duty comes pleasure, so bring something to drink and eat for a quick aperitif on the grass, just as Bianca and Francesco did.
