The Remole fulling mills are a unique example of a fulling mill still present in Europe.

A record that has earned them visits from illustrious figures such as the Queen of Holland and the Prince of Wales.

Built in 1326 at the behest of the powerful Albizi familythe gualchiere was the place where the famous Florentine woollen clothes were made. Between the 14th and 15th centuries they were a huge success throughout Europe, making Florence the capital of fashion and finance.

During our visit we will retrace the history of this building from its birth to its decadence, focusing on its relationship with theArt of Wool and Florentine bankers, but also on the process of making cloth; we will also try to better understand how the days passed in this small village.

At the end of the visit we will enjoy a toast, bringing a little life back into the delightful courtyard of the gualchiere.
