Spend the first day of autumn in a magical place: the Abbey of San Galgano and the hermitage of Montesiepi
At the end of 1100, the knight Galgano Guidotti climbed the hill of Montesiepi and planted his sword in the ground, venerating in it the cross, symbol of peace, and retired here in hermitage.
The first part of the visit takes place inside theAbbey, built by Cistercian monks in 1200: largely ruined, the chapter house and the large church, without the roof, remain. You will have time to take some beautiful photosNext, we will climb the hill to admire the sword in the stone: are we really sure there is nothing in common with King Arthur?
