Together we will discover one of the most beautiful sections: from Monteriggioni to Siena.
From the station we climb up to Monteriggioni, immediately recognisable by its crown of towers, and then descend on the opposite side, finally entering the white roads. A unique landscape of walled towns, turreted castles, cypresses and ancient farmhouses. Just before arriving in Siena we cross a plain: once a lake, which was reclaimed by the Lorraines in the 18th century, we also see the entrance to the canal used for draining. We finally arrive in Siena, one of the most important cities on the route, with its art and millenary traditions. From the station we take the train back to Monteriggioni station.
